Her presentation, titled Leveraging Pentaho for Tactical & Strategic Intelligence, will discuss strategic versus tactical intelligence in a data science environment. It will include a demonstration of Hitachi Vantara Federal’s Pentaho data analytics and intelligence platform utilizing a US Coast Guard open dataset related to marine casualty and pollution as a proof-of-concept. Her analysis will study the incidents by a variety of factors including vessel or facility type, injuries, fatalities, pollutant details, location, and date.
